Choosing Crystals for your Chakras

Understand your Chakras and their important relationship with crystals.

There are seven points throughout our body that allow energy to flow. These seven energy centres, known as Chakras, run through the centre of our body from our Base (or Root) Chakra to our Crown Chakra. We send out and receive mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual energy from our Chakras, without always being aware of it. We are forever absorbing energy and information from the world around us, and this can lead to our Chakras becoming blocked, interrupting the flow of energy, and leaving us feeling imbalanced in life, like a yearning for inner peace. This can have a negative effect on our well-being. For us to feel at peace with ourselves and thrive, our aim is for all seven chakras to be open, balanced, and clear.

Brief History

The Chakras energy system originated in ancient India. They were first mentioned in the Vedas sacred texts of spiritual knowledge dating from 1000-1500 BC. Chakras have become well-known due to the popular growth in New Age philosophies and Yoga.

Crystals have been used to realign and unblock Chakras for many years. As crystals hold a high and unique vibrational energy, a natural resonance, when we wear or hold crystals, they enter our natural electrical field, known as our Aura. Crystals can energetically shift and cleanse Chakras, allowing us to reconnect, feel revitalised, healthier and balanced.

Here, I introduce each of the seven Chakras, with insight into signs that present a balanced or an unbalanced Chakra. I’ll highlight crystals that can help with each Chakra. Generally, crystals that are linked to Chakras correspond with the associated colour of the Chakra.
